JUDGES

We are proud of our reputation for hiring judges with a range of knowledge and experience, from industry professionals to highly respected teachers, examiners and adjudicators. A panel of 3 judges will officiate the competition, each marking independently without conferring. Each dance category has a specialist judge whose marks will take precedence in case of a tie.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: We would like to stress that we always seek a varied balance of knowledge and experience on our judging panels, as well as looking for 'fresh eyes'. Not all of our judges are veteran dance festival adjudicators, and may not have undergone marking standardisation. We neither ask nor expect our judges to all mark the same! As such, natural variations in marking between the different judges is to be expected, and we will not enter into any discussion regarding the marks awarded by any of our judges.
