The order of dance and entry list will not be disclosed prior to the event.

Preliminaries
-
All dancers compete in the preliminaries, which are divided into sections by age and dance category. (Eg. Mini Ballet, Junior Tap)
-
Dancers should arrive at the venue at least one hour early, to get into costume, with hair and makeup done.
-
Dancers must sign in at the registration desk at least 10 minutes before their section begins.
-
Dancers are announced by number only — judges do not receive a programme, entry list or personal details.
-
At the end of each section, all the dancers return to the stage for verbal feedback from the judges.
-
After the judges' comments, the finalists for that section will be announced.
-
The finals will take place on the same day, after the preliminaries have been completed.
-
Medals, certificates, and scorecards will be available shortly after each section finishes.

Marking – Preliminaries
-
Dancers are marked by a panel of three judges, each awarding marks out of 100.
-
Judges mark independently, without conferring.
-
Marking Criteria:
-
Technique – 30 points
-
Performance – 30 points
-
Musicality – 30 points
-
Aesthetics – 10 points (Aesthetics includes the choice and appropriateness of music, choreography, costume and grooming.)
-
-
The average of the three judges’ marks gives each dancer a final score out of 100.
-
The top six dancers in each section progress to the final.
-
In the event of a tie, the marks awarded by the subject specialist judge will take precedence.

Finals
-
Finals are held after all preliminary sections have concluded each day.
-
The six finalists in each section will perform again for the judges.
-
The judges will be looking to see if dancers have responded to feedback from the preliminaries and improved their performance.
-
Results will be announced during the Awards Ceremony which follows immediately after all finals have been completed.

Finals Marking
-
In the finals, each judge ranks the six dancers 1st to 6th in their own order of preference.
-
The judges rankings are then converted to points as follows:
-
Weighted Points System:
-
1st – 20 points
-
2nd – 16 points
-
3rd – 12 points
-
4th – 8 points
-
5th – 4 points
-
6th – 2 points
-
-
The combined points total from all three judges determines the final placement.
-
The dancer with the highest total score is placed 1st, and the lowest is placed 6th.
-
This weighted points system ensures a fair and balanced outcome, accounting for variations in individual judges’ rankings. It is widely used in championship events, including Irish dance competitions.

Awards Ceremony
-
The Awards Ceremony follows immediately after the finals each day.
-
All finalists receive a luxury rosette and finalist certificate.
-
All finalists will be photographed on the winners podium.
-
Dancers should attend the ceremony in their dance school uniform or smart casual clothing — not in costume.
-
The Supreme Champion titles will be announced during the Sunday Awards Ceremony.

Supreme Champions
-
The title of Supreme Champion is awarded to one dancer in each age category.
-
These titles go to the dancers who receive the highest aggregate marks across all preliminaries in their age group.
-
Only dancers who perform three or four solos within their age category are eligible.
-
There is no seperate entry required for the Supreme Champion titles, all eligible dancers will be included.
-
Each Supreme Champion will receive a luxury sash and trophy.
